Mechanical Engineering

Our team is knowledgeable in designing a system based on the increasingly stringent energy and design requirements.

Mechanical Engineering continues to increase in complexity due to the increase of code compliance regulation and mandatory green building elements. This process includes the design of the cooling, heating, and ventilating systems for building design that are best for the design intent. Our team has many years of professional experience working on projects ranging from large to small. The process involves in depth analysis of the existing design and determines if it is suitable for the current design.

Our team is thoroughly trained and experienced in sustainable energy requirements, Comcheck, Title 24, and LEED designs depending on the location and goals of the project.

New Design: When designing a new structure, our mechanical engineers provide solutions in order to design the new space with smart building design while collaborating with the other disciplines. Smart building design means that the project will work together for increased efficiency and energy savings.

Tenant Improvements: NEC’s mechanical engineer will visit the site to get an understanding of the current conditions and analyze those based on the planned building usage. Depending on the intended usage for the building the heating and cooling methods may be insufficient in which case the mechanical engineer will determine the best way to move forward with the project. Many factors need to be considered such as the current building codes and applicable regulations, the current building design, the future design plans, and the client’s budget.

Construction Administration: NEC offers a wide-range of services to support the construction of the project. These include field observations and construction management service in order to make sure there is proper execution of the building design.
