Further leadership is provided by the Executive Director, and the Deputy Executive Director. The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute is a national, nonprofit, technical society of engineers, geoscientists, architects, planners, public officials, and building code regulators. The objective of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute is to reduce earthquake risk by advancing the science and practice of earthquake engineering, improving understanding of the impact of earthquakes on the physical, social, economic, political and cultural environment, and by advocating comprehensive and realistic measures for reducing the harmful effects of earthquakes.

The Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAoSC) is a professional organization of Civil and Structural Engineers, which also includes affiliated construction industry members and students. SEAoSC conducts regular monthly and bi-monthly meetings in Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties and arranges continuing education by prominent members of the Structural Engineering community.

Founded in 1904 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, MI, USA, the American Concrete Institute is advancing concrete knowledge by conducting seminars, managing certification programs, and publishing technical documents. The American Concrete Institute currently has 98 chapters and 20,000 members spanning 108 countries.

INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL

The International Code Council (ICC) is a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention. ICC develops the codes and standards used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. The International Codes, or I-Codes, published by ICC, provide minimum safeguards for people at home, at school and in the workplace. The I-Codes are a complete set of comprehensive, coordinated building safety and fire prevention codes. Building codes benefit public safety and support the industry’s need for one set of codes without regional limitations.

The California Wireless Association (CalWA) is a nonprofit professional association that brings a unified voice to the wireless telecommunications industry as we find ourselves facing the unique challenges of marketing, operations and regulatory terrain in our state. In addition to providing general awareness of the wireless telecommunications industry, educating consumers and public officials about the wireless industry and the critical role it plays in California, CalWA cultivates and fosters relationships among the members of the wireless community and conducts fund raising for several charitable organizations.
